oh i know that but some have said that will make it not go forward some say it wont and iv already sunk allot of money into this truck

Well it's pretty easy to remove the bad T.case and inspect it on the bench.

Or with the drive shafts removed in the truck.
I would bet that in a forward gear it binds up and in reverse lets the Trans spin.

Probably because 99% of the time the transfer case runs in a forward gear and that's what it was doing when the damage happened.
