Man I just got done changing front seal on my 1989 f150 AOD trans and now my shifting is off once i put her back together. I mean she jump into gear when started it is pissing me off that the manual i bought has nothing to say about adjusting this. PLEASE HELP

Had a similar problem after my tranny rebuild - selector was about a 1/2 position off. There should be an adjustment on the linkage at the transmission. Put the tranny in a gear you know, then use this adjustment to get the shift column notches coordinated.
