Nerf Bars or Running Boards
I'm shopping for some running boards or nerf bars for my 88 f-150. My two priorities are 1 - what would look the most "factory" for this year of truck and 2 - what will not rust out. I see so many nerf bars that have practically rusted away.
So what would you guy recommend, and does anyone have pics to show nerf bars or running boards on a 87-91 f150?
Thanks for the advice.

I vote running boards that have a front fender flare out if that makes sense. Here is why. It protects the truck from mud/dirt/snow/rocks/salt etc from hitting the side of the truck. It also prevents people from hitting your truck with doors or their own vehicle and looks tough. Just my 0.02. Mine had bright sides full aluminum boards on it when I got it. At the very beginning I didn't like them but after not too long I started to be very glad they were on there and just looks mean. Trust me when people see 4'' of aluminum sticking out the side of your truck they move over lol

The truck is a standard cab, long bed for what it's worth.
Anyone have pics to share of their running boards/nerf bars? Personally I think nerf bars look better but it seems to be a more modern look and thought they might appear out of place on an older truck, this why I want to see it before I make a judgement call.

This is someone's on here, don't remember who, but the standard cab looks pretty sweet with the factory step. Search through the sticky at the top of the forum (post pic of your truck or whatever) there are tons of pics of different style steps.
