Default Negative battery cable length?

I need to replace my negative battery cable and can only measure what I see which is about 38". Does anyone know how long a negative battery cable is or needs to be for replacement on a 1995 f-150 w/ 5.0L V8?

Much thanks in advance!

No problem, I found some string and ran it down to the negative battery's connector then measured it straight with a tape measure. Problem is its so cold I cant get outside to change it right now. Thanks anyways

Hey! Sorry for the slow update. I believe it was a 56" cable. It turned out it was about 4-5" too long when I installed it and all, had to trim it a bit but that was very easy. It's better to buy one too long then too short. I warn you though, this was one of the hardest and most aggravating things I've ever changed on my truck (granted it was 24f outside when I did it and my hands and ears were going numb). Also the suspension and stuff is in the way big time, you'll need some extensions and right angles for your sockets. Set aside about 2-3 hours to do it. At least that is what it took me for my RWD 95 f150 5.0L. I couldnt get the darn bolt to come out, and when I did, I couldnt get it to line up and go back in due to being way up in the engine around stuff. You might have to bend things out of the way too.

I measured the cable with a piece of rope and got 48" on negative and 56" on positive. Had to order from lmc truck. Cant believe autozone dosent have them. Yes it looks to be a job replacing both of them but its gotta be done. Thanks for the info. Will update when I get them on.

I got mine from AutoZone, I wouldn't recommend them. My positive is melting and the negative terminal broke.

Ordered mine from lmc truck. They seem to have most everything for these trucks. Jeffs bronco graveyard also has a good selection of parts at good prices. Got to get new 1 piece rotor and hubs and autozone wants 200 a piece. Jeffs has them for 85 each. Cant beat that
