Call the police to have them check to see if it was reported stolen in another state. If everything checks out, file a sworn statement saying that you bought the truck. Hope you didn't pay cash for it. If you payed by check or something else thats traceable, have them file it with the sworn statement. After that, follow the advice above to get a title. If you don't go to the police about it now, you could face charges for receiving stolen property. If it was stolen, chances are, they'll just take the truck back, but it's a possibility.

In AZ you have 2 options depending on the year of the vehicle. 1 notify the police and tell them the vehicle was abandond on your property and you are going to charge storage. they will check to see if its stollen if not after after 45 days you have to post an add in the newspaper advertising for sale at auction and you have a lein on it for storage or you can file for a surity bond and obtain a bonded title whitch is the safe way to go as someone could come to the auction and bid more than your lien then the state would get any money over your lien amount

Thank you everyone for your input. I tracked down the previous owners and they are getting me a new title. Situation solved. And the guy who I bought it from is facing one count of felony fraud and a misdemenor charge for selling a vehical with a fradulent title. So thank you once again and see yall on the roads and mud trails soon!
