offer him 3k and just look for any leaks, rust on the rear leaf spring hangers, sagging front ends because the front springs wear to light duty for these trucks. listen for any ticking, look for bald spots on the tires. uhhh thats all i can think of right now, someone else will chime in with mores stuff to check out im sure.

oh and dont forget pictures lol.

It should be a 5 spd. Check to see how trans shift if it shifts kinda hard you could bent shift forks that seems to happen a bit. Cracked or broke leaf and coil springs. If xl probly no pwr options. If its 4-4 check to see if it works good ect.

From description and what I am picturing on my head, I would guesstimate anywhere between, $2500--$3500 depending on what all track has and over all condition.

Make sure both tanks work if it has duall tanks. Check fluids, for overall condition. Ask when clutch and brakes were changed. Common areas are the inside door lever breaking off, if rear slider window the lock tab comes off and clocksprings are know to give trouble. Good way to tell on that is Cruise wont work, or work irregularly, (or airbag light blinking) but truck being 92 wont have air bag.
