Default need some electrical help!!

so i have a 92 f150 and i put hids in it today and everything worked fine when i first put them in i parked the truck later and turned them on again with the truck running and the truck died no hesitation so i try to start it nothing turn the lights off fires right up turn the lights on dies so i unplug the lights all together wont start at all! so then i put the stock lights back in starts up turm them on dies. anyone know what could be causing this

Sounds like a short. Did you wire everything up right?

short or its drawing way to much power from the system. does the instrument panel dim right before the engine dies?

it was a plug in play nothing was wired wrong the dash didnt dim but found out it was a shout after the ballast shocked me i mover the wires away from the body and it worked fine now i just gotta find it
