My 94 is in need of some rebuild I want solid axle 8 lug axles under her what axles should I use and what year what's the advantages to your choice?

you can take a ford dana 60 from a 80-97 f350 and convert to leafs in the front. thats what im doing.

i havent started. thats just my plan. if you have the cash you can do a coil setup with a four link setup to locate the axle. also if you really got money to burn coilover shocks are awesome. the reason im going with leaves is there cheap,easy and still flex pretty well!

Newborn babysitter here so not much extra to burn and the wife pissed I'm swapping axles again so I'm pretty tight on it but the good news is she won't let me ever sell it ha she said she divorce me if I did ha ha ha

haha thats good!! ya if you can weld and you have a good junk yard near you you can put a dana 60 under these trucks in a weekend!

I can weld ok but my dad is a welder for bridges he works for NYS DOT so is have him weld it but have you figured the cost roughly to do the swap id go with a 10.25

ya a 10.25 for the rear would just bolt in so thats just the cost of the axle from a wreckers. around 400$ in this area. and a dana 60 and some leaf spring and other odds and ends will be about 600$. but thats just what i have found at my local wreckers.
