Default Need help please, shuts off without warning

I have a 90 f150 with a 5.0 it has became a pain in pocket lately. Here is my problem, truck will start and run with no issues then all of a sudden it will just die out and not start back for 15 to 20 minutes. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor button, coil, EGR valve, map sensor, IAC, and the ECU and nothing has worked. Once it does it and it starts back it runs fine for as ling as toy want to drive it, but if it hasnt done it that day it will with no warning. Seems to do it the most as you are coming to a stop or slowing down for a light. It doesn't spit and sputter, its just like someone turned the key off, but its not all the lights are on and the radio stays on. It has been doing this for 3 months now, it hasnt got any worse and i can never tell when it is going to do it. Im at my wits end with it, ive had it to 2 mechanics 1 replaced the fuel pump the other said he didnt have a clue and wished me luck. I have checked for spark when it does it and it is getting spark please help my truck

Welcome to the site! Suggest to have a look at the TFI module on the side of the distributor, the PIP module inside the distributor, and the ignition switch on the steering column just above the brake pedal as leading suspects. There are electrical resistance checks for the TFI and PIP so to avoid just blindly chunking more cash at the problem.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

I'm going to vote PIP sensor change the entire distributor
