Need Help Hooking Reverse Lights Up.
Hello everyone,
I have a '93 F150 that had the E40D transmission in it and I switched it over to a 5spd standard. Since the E40D was all electronic, Everything had to be wired up so the truck would start, my 4x4 would work, etc. The only problem I'm having is with my reverse lights. On my std transmission I have in it, there is a two prong plug (red in color) that a plug would clip into it, and I assume that's the reverse lights. Now, at http://fordfuelinjection.com/files/Trans_harness.gif the wires say that the reverse lights are Black and Pink. Well, I cut the black and pink wire off the main connection, and wired it to the rest of the wires that I tied together to start the truck which would mean there would be power when the key turns on, but the reverse lights did not come on what so ever. How could this be? Is there any way to know that this will work before I go and put them into the plug, and plug it into the transmission, if so..how? I'm just looking for a lil' help. Thanks everyone, in advance.
