Question Need Help Asap

Ok, I have a 1993 manual 4.9l with 153,000 miles. Just this morning i drove my truck to work and everything was fine, I parked it and it sat for about 10 hours. When i tryed to take it out tonight it was messed up. Every time I would give it gas and shift and or just give it gas and let up off the gas the throttle and the speed would keep going. I could shift, let up off the clutch and not have to give it gas it would keep going and everything would be ok. After I let up off of the gas it keeps giving it gas for about 3 to 5 seconds then it slowly dies down. Does anyone know what this might be? I dont need this problem right now and hope it can be an easy fix. Thanks to anyone who can help, its greatly appreciated.
