Hey guys, I could really use some help. I have a 1993 F-150 and I am having steering issues. My truck will turn all the way left, but only a little bit right. It is so bad that I can't drive it because I have to back up most times because the turning radius is so bad. I have replaced my steering gearbox and power steering pump recently. I also just replaced the front coil springs. But the interesting part is that it turns JUST FINE WHEN IT IS JACKED UP????? With the front wheels off the ground it turns perfectly. I appreciate any help or advice.
happen to me. And cause of this thread I found the problem. After replacing the gear box a tie rod and doing an alignment.

How did you miss that when changing the box? And what alignment tech missed that before beginning the alignment?
It's probably a result of the lift (which doesn't appear to be well-engineered), but it would certainly be easier to notice things like that if the truck was cleaner.
