Nice Sean....

I need a trailer just for that reason...but then again I am leaning more towards a van...I just like vans more than trucks...

Heh, I spent a good while going through the photos, pretty spiffy. We're about in the same line of work. What's the longest material you'll haul on top of your truck? So far in the Ford I can't get more than 10 footers in my bed and sticking on out, had 16 footers on top of the Suburban, 12's inside with doors closed, but limited quanities because it was on the dashboard.

Nice to see your fairly neat. It gets hard to keep up with that at times. So you have enough work so that you don't have to do your own painting? I don't like it as much as the wood working but I usually include that to add to the work. There have been long periods of time when I never did any painting, those were the days...

I like the makita circular saw, squirrel cage fan, and telescoping ladder. What drill do you use?

I have one 50 foot heavy duty extension cord I use to plug the trailer in. I have a not as good 100 footer that has a hard time running the compressor. I think the start capacitor is going bad.

I thought about a van but when the van breaks down I wouldn't be able to go to work. With the trailer I just hook something else up and off I go. I had to pull it a few times with my old '83 Camaro. It did really well.

The welder is a MIG. I got it from Lowes and it came with a free auto darken helmet.

The longest material I've hauled on the rack is 20 feet. Lots of aluminum products come in 20 foot lengths and I'm the only one that can pick them up. I can't put anything in the bed longer than 10 feet or it will hit the trailer. Ask me how I found that out. That's why I had to get the rack. I actually really need to straighten everything out, it's pretty messy in there for my tastes but I haven't had the time. Work is pretty good again finally. We have a painter that takes care of most of the painting, I really hate painting. But I have enough painting crap in there to do what I have to when I have to. The squirrel cage fan is pretty awesome, but I'm a dumbass and don't pull it out much. I get wrapped up in working and just don't grab it. I had a Dewalt drill with radio charger, but when the batteries died I switched to Firestorm. Those batteries are dying on me now too so the boss bought me some cheap brand cordless to get me by, which actually works pretty good. My hammer drill is Milwaukee and my 1/2" drill is Bosch. I've got me a really old school transit in there too that still works awesome. No lasers, just an eyepiece.

You can use the small rolls or the huge ones, they go inside the box. I don't have any gas for it yet so I've been using flux core.

I thought about getting the 220 one but I liked the portability of the 110 one, and the 220 can only weld 1/8" thicker metal. I don't think I'll need to weld anything thicker than the 3/8" that mine can do.

Man, you got a real workhorse there, Sean. I like your setup and pride in your truck & trailer combo.

Is the cupholder/console strapped in with the center seat belt? I'm thinking about getting one like that but am afraid it sliding around. I'll have to look for a strap-in one.
