Yea thats the biggest part of a build like this. Having a garage to do it in and having another vehicle so you can take your time. It should feel like a new truck when I'm done.

After you sandblasted the frame what did you to it? Powder coat or spraypaint? There is a place that will powdercoat here in fort worth so when I start my frame up rebuild I was thinking about going that route.

Can't wait to start

I used VHT brand roll & chassis paint for the first coat then a good quality gloss black for the following coats. one of the down sides I see with powder coating is everytime you you drill into something, move a mount, replace suspension bolts and suck you have to touch it up again. with paint it makes it easy.

This weekend I got my fuel lines ran and the rear brake line from the flex hose up to the RABS block ran. Also I got my Patriot Heads bolted onto the block. Now I'm waiting for my new timing chain cover, and water pump to come in before it gets a nice coat of ford blue paint.

They want 200 for sandblasting and powder coating. Which isn't to bad in my book. I want to preserve the frame as much as possible and want the professional look in the end. I would like a clean finish from top to Bottom.

I can raise hell with a can of paint and make it look great and spiffy so by no means am I against spray paint. After all I redid my interior with it and it looks great for my first time doing it.

I got my main goal this weekend done. The engine, trans and Tcase found their way onto the frame. Like the blue?

If looks could kill i would be dead. That motor is slick, I like those valve covers too! Those are the ones I was looking at for mine, or at least something close!

Thanks guys. The valve covers are an older eldebrock set. I'm not even using them on this project. I'm either going stock ford blue with bowered by ford stickers or I found some nice ones that have 351 engraved real big on them.
