My new truck... and a quick tranny question
I just joined the other day. Not new to forums (member over at the explorer forum). Just picked up a 1994 f150 for $1000 bucks. Its a 302 auto, 4x4, 112k original miles, all the power options work except cruise control, has a remote start, newer brakes, newer rad support, newer suspension parts too. It rides and drives awesome. Inspected too. Just needs body work, rear tank, door pins and tires (Just put on some grabber at2s, not in the pics)
and my current daily driver:
Anyway, enough showing off pics for now... It has a tranny leak from the pan gasket. I have a new gasket and filter to put on it. One of the bolts is stripped, which is probably why its not sealing right. Can I just drill and tap it to the next size up? I assume that'd work fine... Ideas? Also what torque should they be so I don't strip out more...

I would drill and tap it. Does the bolt hole go all the way though? If not you have to cut the tap a couple of times to get the new thread to work right. Work it slow and take your time.
