Single, do 3". Dual do 2.5". Its weird math, but the swept area of a single 3" isn't far off from a single 3".

Will you be running catalytic converters? BBK no longer makes the Ford O2 simulators.

Correct. I did a bit of looking and it seems the newer truck have two cats. SO running duals off that should be no problem at all!

I asked him about running the true duals and he said it was illegal
Any input. This muffler shop was in New mexico as that is where I am attending school, my usual guy is in Texas though. Thoughts? He said to have a 1-2 muffler (magna or flowmaster) with a dual rear exit would be 450 or so plus tax.

It may be in NM its illegal. All states have different exhaust laws. For example, in Kansas? We don't really care. If the officer really wants to push the issue he can, but we have no inspections or anything.

I bought my truck with dual straight pipes after the rear cat, drove it to the inspection that way, and no one said a word. Granted it has almost stock exhaust on it now.
