Default more problems

well i having more problems with my truck what a surprise this time it strated to just pour antifreeze out of somewhere all i could see is that is was comng out of somewhere above the bellhousing and i mean it was just coming out of there like no tomarow but it still ran but we shut it off real quick like but the next moring i had to go home and it was like 30 degrees out so i thought i could make it home if i toke it easy. well i got a bout a mile away from home and the temp gauge shot up to the o in normal rose to the r and stayed there ran for a little bit then shut right down. i got it to start up but it wouldnt idle so i just kept my foot on the peddle i put it in gear and it just shut down again now i try to start it and it does but vary brefly i can here it knocking and then it locks up so idk what is wrong now but its up for sale and i just wanted somebodys opinion of what it might be so i can tell potenal buyers what it is.
anyways sorry for the long post

find out where the coolant came out, maybe your head gasket blew out

unless you got a strange future trans, the trans cooler lines bring the trans fluid through a seperate part of the radiator(or possibly trans cooler) and back again. no antifreeze goes to the trans. if the head gasket blew in the back or middle it could come down about the bellhousing. i'm pretty sure all your freeze plugs are on the side of the block. there might be a hose or something back there. i figure if the head gasket blew out enough you could lose compression and there's your no run issue

There's a freeze plug or two on the rear of the block. Transmission or engine and flywheel removal is required to change them.
