Default Missing after warm start

I have a 1995 F-150 4 X 4, 5 spd with 300 CI inline 6. When starting warm it misses and coughs a lot and idles very rough. If I drive it and put some RPM's on it, it clears up fine and drives well with engine running smooth and idling fine. Cold start is fine. It's getting worse as time goes on. When it's warm outside it will start and idle rough right away. It acts like it is not firing on all cylinders until it clears.

Appreciate any help anyone can give on this. I'm at a loss.

Thanks, Steve

I was having the same problems on a '92 5.0. Try changing out the temp sensor, it worked wonders on mine. Turns out, if it goes bad, the computer thinks the motor is stone cold and floods the pistons with fuel. The motor will cough, spit and shake until it gets up enough rpm to handle that fuel and smooth out.

I got mine for $5 bucks at autozone, its worth a shot. Plus it will help on your MPG!

Thanks to you both. I'll try that temp sensor and see what happens. Then if that doesn't work I'll try the other suggestions. I'll let you know how it works out.
