Default Missing?!?

I just recently got a 92 flareside .....from my dad.. The truck has a miss in it whenever It has to pull a little ...other than that it runs smooth.. Check engine light is on and the only codes were all for the egr valve the guy told me to clean it up... I did and checked the egr and it seems to be functioning correctly ... But my dad said that he had replaced the egr back in 96 because of the engine light but the light never did clear??!?!.. Any ideas what it could be?

see if the cat is clogged that might cause to much back pressure when hauling.

I'm sorry.. Not when hauling but when having to go up a hill... ... It loses a lot of power and starts hesitating.. I haven't hauled anything with it yet to know if it does it then or not

Fuel pump. Mine does this also. If you have duals change tanks and see if it clears it up.

Doesn't matter if the fuel pump was replaced yesterday bro. Pull some codes and lets see what's up. Electrical things such as fuel pumps die on a daily basis.
