Maybe it's clogged. Swap the injector with a different cylinder and see if the misfire moves.

It's real easy, they practically fall out. Remove the upper intake, if you separate it carefully you should be able to reuse the gasket. Unbolt the fuel rail and pull, they either will come out with the rail or they will stay in the intake. Putting them back onto the rail sometimes is a pain. I used WD40 last time to lubricate them enough to push back in. Make sure to relieve the fuel pressure before starting.

Well Sean, I think you just saved my insurance company alot of hassle and you made me quit pouring the sweat haha I never in a million years thought it would be that easy. I'm at work right now and its 4 in the morning, so I can't call parts stores checking on injector prices. So I went with my last resort (just for price checking), and started looking on ebay.

Do these injectors look okay? or do I just need to buy new ones from a parts store?

Don't get too excited yet. If you want to make sure you don't waste money on parts you don't need then you should swap the injector to the different cylinder to make sure it is the problem. If you'd rather spend the $85 so you don't have to possibly do it twice then go ahead. I prefer parts in hand as opposed to ordering them.

Thats exactly how I am. Some previous ebay orders have kinda scared me away from ordering anything else off of that website. Income tax time is coming around, and I'll have money to blow, so the hell with it lol I'll buy me some injectors and see if that doesn't fix it. I just like putting new parts on my truck like that, because that's one less thing that is likely to break in the middle of a long road trip BUT, I think before I invest in new injectors, I'll go ahead and buy new plugs, wires, and a distributor cap, and see if that doesn't fix it. Everything but the distributor cap has about 4k miles on em, but I've bought bad parts before that start messing up pre-maturely. The distributor cap is factory (but looked to be fine with normal wear when I took it off the other day), and the rotor button is new because I replaced it for the heck of it.

I don't even like giving the parts store the money if the part isn't in stock. They want the money before they order it but I want to see it before I pay for it. I have to bitch that I can return the part and get my money back as soon as I see it so why do I need to pay for it to order it.

A tune up is always good, I thought you already did that.

I did a tune up about 4k miles ago, but I just realized this morning about all the crap parts that I've bought in my lifetime. The only thing is, that my distributor is still the original motorcraft part. I had it off 2 days ago and inspected it. There were no cracks, burn marks on the terminals inside or anything, so I passed it to be a "good working part". I inspected the rotor button also and found a little nick in the side of it (where the metal piece is), so I replaced it for the hell of it. After I realized all the horrible faulty parts that I've bought in my lifetime, I figured I would quit piddle-dicking around and do a FULL tune up on it, and go from there. I just have to wait another week untill I get paid haha Christmas kinda put me in debt a little bit. Faulty parts **** me off though. I have well over 5K bucks spent at our local auto parts store (I looked it up on my account) haha
