Default Messed up spark plug order! Help!

Well I had bad problems with my truck shaking and I looked at the diagram on here for 5.0 motors and the spark plug order, now when I start my truck up it runs even more crappy. It like sputters and sounds like it wants to kill. Now the spark plug order is messed up. I went over and over the diagram to make sure they were all going to the right cylinder.

we need to know year of your engine. I'm assuming you have a 5.0 but the year is important because ford changed the firing order over the years. You can't just update the firing order cuz' the cam and crankshaft are dependant on it as well. You'll need to put your firing order back to the original factory specs. Then trouble shoot your "shaking" issue from there.

Its the 93 5.0. Well I was having bad shaking and electrical problems with my truck and thats what we thought it might have been is a messed up spark plug wire order.

Pretty sure this is it! Look familiar? (they're not kidding about the wire routing)http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=23 Should be a (1) stamped into your distributor housing too. Guess what it stands for? Check out the Ford Model A/SM at the top of the link page!

I could be wrong but, I think that firing order is for 94' and up. I know my truck's firing order is that way but, I 've heard tell that 94' or there abouts was the first year of the High Output firing order.

I wouldn't run the truck with the incorrect firing order, the 5.0 is notorious for breaking the crankshaft at the 1 & 5 (near the front) because of it's design. It's partially why the changed the firing order to the newer HO order.

But, You could be right. Geese, stranger things have happened! Haven't they? If not, they just did! My socks are wet from the grass but this is how an 87' 302 rolls: counterclockwise 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

I have a (1) stamped inside the housing, along the edge. I went through this crap the first time I replaced my wires. I don't think my truck ever forgave me for that! Felt so bad about it, I desludged her & switched her to Synth. It was the least I could do. Roses weren't doing it! Either routing, #1 should pretty much, be at 12 o'clock. the cylinder's starting from front to back (left & right) Left= 1-2-3-4// Right= 5-6-7-8.
