Default Master switch??

Hello -

I have a 1990 F150 and the power window switches on the drivers door do not operate the windows. The power lock works and the switch on the passenger door control works the passenger window. My knowledge is limited and I am wondering if I need a new master switch for the drivers side or is there another possible issue such as a connection problem or fuse issue.

Thanks for your thoughts and feedback!!!

well if you have power to the pass side, sounds like the switch at the door, has took a dump.

Cloud be a bad motor. Check for power at the motor before you order the new switch group.

I had a ranger that did the same thing issue was a dead spot in the motor.

could be that too, but he said the window switcheS on the driver side did not work, that is telling me it wont roll down the pass side from the drivers door.

Ah I missed that, I read the right side window worked from both sides.

I would still check for power at the motor first though, but that's just me...

The power looks good...I found controls for both doors for 10 bucks so I am going to change the master switch on the drivers door. I'll follow up with results.

Default update...

Changed the master switch today - still not working. Passenger side window works from the passenger control, drivers side will not operate either window although the power lock works...stumped...

Check the ground wires that feed the master switch on the driver's side, if not work, try powering the motor directly in the driver's side
