MAF vs MAP
Another thread has gotten me curious.
I have read all about MAF and MAP on fordfuelinjection.com however I am still unsure where they are physically located. I went to the junkyard today and I didn't see any trucks with them, old or older.
As always Pics are helpful.
Thanks!

Honestly, i have no clue. The 9th gen is the most screwed up truck known to man.
They have obd1 then go obd2 in the last year of the style. Then they have all of the left over bodies, beds and frames and continue to make super duty trucks until 2000. Theres 3 possible engines, i think 3 or 4 different tranny's. Not to mention jacked up front suspension.
I love my truck, dont get me wrong, but it doesnt seem like their head engineer even had a high school diploma

too be fair not ford's fault on this one federal law all 96 and newer had to be obdII i think the major reason the 4.9s and 5.8s stayed map is it was just cheaper at the time and maf wasnt fully trusted by the consumer yet new technology is rarely excepted with open arms
