i just got a 90 f150 with the m5r2, it is stuck in 3rd gear, i removed the top cover and can manualy move the shift forks and the ( things in the trans the forks go over) but when i put the cover on its still stuck. i have tried new shifter bushings and the pins. any ideas?

 

pull just the shifter out and see if everything is lined up, also try to shift it with the retailer a little loose and see what happens.

 

i figured it out with the lack of space up there i didnt get it lined up right, works great now thanks
