Default m5od To c6

89 F150 302 V8 M5OD Wanting to go to a C6

Hey all, Ive tried some searches and pretty much know what I need to do this conversion

Trans,Torque Converter, Cross member, Floor Shifter, Trans cooler, and maybe extended drive shaft.

Questions, I already have the transfer case bolted to my m50d, im not to sure what case it is because there is no tag on any bolts. Some people are selling c6's and T-case together for a good deal, Is there any certain case I should look for or stay away from if I do get a package deal? Also what cases were offered in my truck so I have a general idea of what I might have.

What trucks should I look for at the junk yard to pull the cross member out of.

Thanks guys appreciate any help.

If you're going through the trouble to switch to an automatic you should at least swap in the AOD so you have overdrive.

It's a toy truck I don't care if it goes 45 its gonna spend 90% of its life in sand and mud lol don't need od, and its really no trouble with this truck and. A 3 inch body lift putting in a trans is simple work.

for a mud truck stay with a c6. Just have to make sure the output shafts are the same spline and length between the m5od and the c6, Are you close to NJ? I might be interested in the manual stuff.
