I have a 87 that I'm doing some modding on and my parents are going to get me a rear flip kit for my truck if it dosent require a c notch. If I got this kit would there be a need for one or would it be fine without

Do you plan to put anything in the bed?

How much will the flip drop the rear? I would be concerned about constantly bottoming out.

There will prob never anything in the rear. And it's a jdm flip kit. They advertise 5inches but some of the reviews on it says it's about 4 tho

You can flip it without doing a c-notch, but it will bottom out on hard bumps if you have anything in the bed. You'll have to cut off most of the bump-stop, but it will work for a little bit. Doing a c-notch isn't very hard, especially a small one. Flip it, then do the notch when you can...Lowering the front to match the rear, is what's going to cost the most. It takes lowered I-beams and springs to get it to sit down low enough
