Question low oil pressure

1991 F150 , just rebuilt.. new cam bearings, rod and mains, new oil pump, new oil pressure guage, starts cold with normal oil pressure, but after 10 min.of running loses oil pressure gradually to 0 at idle and barely showing at 2000 rpm- no clatter yet but afraid to drive. WHAT TO DO?

wow that would thicken it up try putting 10w 40 see if that helps and you primed the engine before you started it and when you built it you used assembly lube i hope if not you could have done internal damedge. make sure the pump is working correctly and that the rod is in and not sliping on the distrib. the only thing i can think of is oil and oil pump but you said its new try turning the pump with a drill the make an adapter that goes on the rod from the distrib and check the pressure and see what it reads

anothe thing did you put pipe tape on the fitting for the oil sending unit if not do so you might have a oil leak some where or forgot to put a gasket on the pump to block or to the pick up think back trust me youll be doing something and it will just hit you i know from experiance i messed up a timming gear by 10 degrees and said o sh** and took it apart and put it on correctly and the engine started for weeks i thought it was the starter and too much compression it turns out the cam gear was on wrong causeing too much compression but luckly did no damedge cause i adjusted the valves but you never know well good luck
