Lost 3 mpg
OK this has me stumped.

In the last two tanks of gas I have lost 3+ mpg. Driving habits and routes about the same nothing modded/changed on the truck. I am planning the normal checks of things ignition related. I also don't smell any fuel from a fuel leak.
My question is are there any quirks about this truck that people have run into that might account for this kind of mpg loss in this short amount of time?

You might be getting gas with more ethanol than what you have been. While ethanol helps cut back on emissions it lowers the fuel economy. What this does to overall emission and not just the idling portion makes me wonder.
