Default At a loss...

I've been having sort of a "popping noise" in the front end. Especially when backing up then starting forward, or when the wheel is turned sharply. The front end is almost all new. New coil springs, new upper and lower ball joints, new radius arm bushings, new I-Beam pivot bushing, the inner and outer tie rod ends were replaced not TOO long ago. Everything in the front end is tight as can be, the wheel bearings are tight as I just re packed them. Does anybody have any other thoughts for what it might be?

Does your truck have a sway bar? If so check it's connections.

Check the bolt and rivets that hold the radius arm brackets to the frame.

Does sound like radius arm.

Nope no sway bar, and the radius arm brackets and were replaced probably 30k ago, new bushings about 10k ago. But I nailed a pothole and the clunking got 20 times worse. When I got home and jacked it up I found that the top nut on my driver front shock was gone and it's been just flapping around doing nothing. So problem solved!

I put new shocks on the gent yesterday morning, nothing fancy just the Monroe Gasmatic LTs, and MAN what a difference that made. I didn't realize how bad my old ones were. It feels like I'm driving a racecar now, poor truck used to corner like a house boat, I just thought that was normal lol
