Default Loose shifter

Okay I really wanna buy this 94 f150 but i am unsure if its worth it. Its standard but the shifter has way more movement than it should and i dot know what it is. Someone said it could be the linkage? I just really need help!!!!

an inch in a half of play???? lol your lucky i'm running a np435 in my 95 and first hits the dash and reverse sits on the seat(with the seat pushed all the way back)

at least they sell shifter stuff for yours, the 435 is metal on metal, so when its wore out you have to have it welded and machined, and a new shifter stick is non-existant
