Your name gets more and more fitting by the day.

I just don't have the space to park them anywhere. I already have three vehicles at this house and two at another. If I ever end up on a decent piece of property with plenty of room then I can get more vehicles. You should post some of the pics he sent you so we can see it

Right now i just got the two f150s haha

as for the 1996 f150... its 4x4 automatic factory ac dual shocks up front factory tach dual tanks cuise control with axle code B5 so 4.10ls...its rust free other then the bed the frames straight painted with black rihino lining new leafs and hangers shocks ect ect.

put a battery in it, checked the fluids and I tried to turn the engine free just to check, didnt budge soo. tried to start it up the engine didnt crank so i gave the starter a beating hoping that would do it and still nothing....
I am torn the guy said he will pay to get it towed to my place. However the drivers front bumpers been hit and pushed the fender into the drivers door pretty bad that it wont open but an inch or two...the frames straight and the bumber took most of it. but as far as i can tell the engine is either seized or stuck and needs a starter.

the guy wants my 93 xlt but that runs drives and just needs a steering wheel bering and a front u joint for the front axle..

HELP!!!! what the heck should I do???? On one hand ill get a mint parts truck with 4.10ls and odb2 system with minty body panels and interior. but i would give up a running driving almost sticker ed truck...

If you can before making a final decision, remove the starter and then try to turn the engine by hand. My mustangs starter went out before and somehow seized the engine. It wouldn't turn over for anything, then I took the starter off and it turned over fine. New starter and it was just fine. If the other stuff is basically just cosmetic/body parts fixes and the engine does turn over, I'd go for it. Otherwise...that depends on if you want to replace the engine if it is seized.

I Do not want to replace the engine period. and the strange thing is the guy was really nice about it all but he offered to tow it to my place but not let me put a starter in it. ITs been sitting for 1 year so he says the last Inspection was in 2010 so there was a few red flags. and he kept on saying he just wants it gone. and of course me being a tight wad told him I would gladly take it off his hands for free..

I am willing to bet that the engine is seized. when i was wachinking the starter the engine thing was moving side to side. thats not normal for a starter last time i checked.

If nothing else I guess if you could get it you can at least use it for parts you want and sell the rest. Engine thing? Whacking mine didn't help at all either. Like I said, if you can at least get the start off then try to turn the engine I would do it. If he won't even let you do that, and you don't want it for parts, I'd walk away from it.

I alredy have tried to turn the engine over by hand using the harmonic balanceer. it would not budge. On my 94 I can just grab the belt and give it a pull and it will move the entire belt drive. its been sitting for 1 year at least or at worse 4 years. the main problem is I can get 2k easy for my blue one right now. and i dont think that 96 is worth 2k it books in mint shape for 2,600 as it sits now it needs a front fender valance bumper rad support inner fender possibly as well as door now. as well as a starter battery and 4 tires possibly an entire engine. i value it even if its the holy gail of alxes as scrap value to 600 bucks. and he thinks a 80 dollar tow and the truck would be work 2k. I think I will pass on it even if its well worth the parts alone..

I think im going to walk thanks its always good to bounce ideas off someone haha.

My truck is the same way. I swear its a chick its transmission is so moody. When she's towing, or hauling a lot she shifts seamlessly. If its just normal driving conditions she chooses her days. One day she will shift perfectly, then the next she will kick like a horse on her shifts like she's in limp mode. Then ill start her up the next day and again, perfect shifts. The only predictability she has is she tends to knock more when its summertime (hotter). I even had to drive the truck home in "1" one day last year cause she was stuck in first, and was knocking dramatically trying to get in second. Parked her, then the next morning tried to diagnose it, and you guessed it, she shifted like brand new.
