Default Location of Temp. switch

Hi all,
My temerature gauge has quit working and after looking through old threads, it sounds like the temp switch is the most likely culprit. I've looked high & low but haven't located it yet. Can anyone give me some pointers? My truck is an '88 F150 with 300 six cylinder. Thanks for any help

Passenger side of the block, at the rear and up near the head.
