the distributer fixed it. The truck has a new TPS, the EGR well I know that's not working due to the fact I never hooked it back up.

As far as timing I checked my marks (ones that I had made when rebuilding the engine) I had the marks backwards, we set it at 10, I only marked 0 and 10. Thought it was at 0 I was wrong.

I tried a new coil, ignition control module spark plugs, plug wires, distributer cap, rotor button (all that was replaced when the engine got rebuilt) iac and TPS (these were because they failed on their own) rear tank fuel pump (failed on its own, the front shortly followed suit. Haven't replaced it yet though). Like I said the only things that weren't replaced were the distributer and computer. Now that the distributer has been replaced the only thing left that wasn't tried by installing "known good parts" or replaced by new is the computer.

My buddy literally timed it by ear, I put the timing light on it because he told me to, he didn't even think he had it right. He runs a Foxbody mustang restoration shop.

As far as codes it has EGR insufficent flow. For the stated reason above.

Fuel pressure was checked when it first started happening. So I ruled out fuel psi, could I have checked it again? Yeah. But I also had a fuel pump fail during the time it started happening and now, so I've been running off good fuel pressure. I've changed fuel filters (regular maintance type deal).

There was literally nothing else I could have replaced. Unless I stared to replace stuff I already replaced. Lol
