I don't do it. But I have seen it done numerous times.
If I was you I would go to a welding shop and get something built.
I made these 4" blocks in 20 mins.

250 and 350 dodge 4x4s before 1994 use a 4 inch lift block in the rear, if your poking around a junk yard.

Good tip! I always build my blocks so I don't consider the junk yard to often. Also the 92-96 f350 4x4s had 4" stock blocks with the bump stops cast in just like your factory 2" block.
