Default Leveling kit questions

Hey guys,

Been a long time since I've posted but I also haven't been driving my truck since last year, been driving me 96 bronco winter ride lol !

Anyways, before I put my 95 f150 4x4 back on the road I really want it to sit higher. I've found a leveling kit seems to be just enough and the cheapest to make my truck look better without needing bigger tires ! However I have a few questions.

1) are coil replacements or spacers better? ( I would rather buy coils cause to me that seems to be the better quality lift but if I'm wrong let me know ! )

2) After install , obviously you'll need an alignment. But I've read that some times the you'll need extra part to get everything back in range. Is this true ? And I so, what will I need ?

Thanks in advance !!

If your springs are still good, spacer is cheaper. If your springs are shot, just get F250 springs, someone else will pipe in with the part number. It's like moog cc844 or something close.

As far as the alignment, you'll need camber bushings. Adjustable camber bushings. Napa has them, advance has them, etc. You won't know what you need until you do the lift. If you look at the how to section here, I did a write up with pictures on how to change them out. Takes 20 minutes a side after you get the tire off

I have a 95 too, and I installed 2 in leveling kit, and they were spacer made by daystar. After the leveling kit I put 32x11.50 tires on er, and I had to have a camber bushing installed to get it aligned right. Here is a picture so you can get an idea of what it looks like.

Thanks for quick replies !

And I know spacers are cheaper but are they as durable as new springs ?

And in your opinion are the moogs the best option for spring kits ?

moogs are pretty much the best heavy duty aftermarket springs out there

Mine haven't compressed at all in a year and a half. They're pretty solid so it's really a non issue. Going to the F250 spring will also stiffen the front end, where as the spacer will barely be noticeable.

Really it just depends on the condition of your current springs!

I have the 250 springs and spacers as well. Definitely a stiff ride but the 250 springs without the spacers rode nicer than my old worn springs i would say go with the moog cc844

Do the moogs give 2" or 1.5 " of lift ? I woul prefer 2" I'd really like the lift to be noticeable
