Default LED Light Bars

Anyone running LED Light Bars on the roof? I was looking into getting a 50" curved. My thing about it is the mounts. I'm guessing they would have to be custom made. Love to see how ppl are mounting theirs!

I'm running a 50" mounted to my cab guard. Did not want to drill into the cab. Cab guards are a great way to mount lighting and other accessories. There is one or two users here with cab mounted leds, just not my thing. For the price of the mounts, you can buy a nice used cab guard and have more versatility. Just my opinion. Hope it helps.

From what I can tell my rack is about the same height if not a little taller than yours. Do you think a light bar would shine over my extended cab and visor or would the beam hit the truck? The visor will be on the truck as soon as it's painted.

Damn that's a nice looking truck! Oh wait where have I seen it before.... With the light bar mounted on the headache rack I would say close to 50% of the light is lost on the cab.

I can't speak for the extended cab, but the light bar on a headache rack on a reg cab does not lose but about 5 ft in front of the truck. I can't see the xcab being too much worse. Certainly not 50%. The light bar is too dang bright and the light swath is very wide both vertically and horizontally.

Not to mention, we've been putting kc lights on roll bars for decades without losing light. The led bars are wider coverage, so to say close to 50% of light is lost would be insane.
