Ok, my 95 f150 is strong, a straight 6 etc 4.9, i have been practicing on this and i get alot of bucking going into first, any advice and will my clutch tear up quick on these trucks?

let it out slower, and just hope its not the stock clutch

you can't start in 2nd from neutral though right?

its easy. ease off clutch an ease on gas at the same time. i tought myself last march when my dad gave me the truck

Try to park it so you're heading downhill. That will help you get the feel of it when you start off then next time.

yea you can start in 2nd. you can put it in 1st and let the clutch out very slowly until you feel ur truck barely move, then start givin gas and lettin out the clutch. sometimes goin downhill i start in second

If you want to get used to the clutch first, go to an empty parking lot and play with reverse. It should have the highest gear ratio (does in my mustang) and should give you a good feel for it. You can start in 1st or 2nd, there's enough torque to get you going
