Default Just shuts off

I have a 94 f150. 5.0 automatic 180000 miles. While I'm driving it just shuts off. If you wait about 10-15 minutes with the key turned in the on position it will start right up and run for another couples days. Any ideas?

Well, The defining clue "180k" easily narrows it down to no less than........4-7 potential possibilities. An error code scan would probably cut the list in half. If fixing it is a priority & time sensitive, I'd do a scan first, or have it scanned. Otherwise figure on 2-4 pages of posts, about a week, and a couple of unnecessary part purchases.

Thanks for the reply. The check engine light is not on nor does it come on. Will I still be able to get a code if I scan it?

Yes, there are a chosen few that trigger the CEL. But, there are a plethora that can occupy the continuous memory w/o bothering the CEL (pages & pages). Some are generic, some are "manufacturer specific". They are separated and should be denoted between two tests KOEO & KOER (1-engine off/1-engine running)

Check for codes first. You can have the ICM tested at the parts store, common problem which causes the symptoms you describe.
