Default Just Because

Came home for Christmas yesterday afternoon after an 84 hour long shift. Decided to play around with the GoPro and GoPro Studio. Love driving the old Ford on a nice, cool, sunny afternoon! Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Cool video! Man, I wish I had a gopro. I'd love to post a video like that from where I live, just for contrast. Your area is nice and flat. We've got some crazy hills around here. I know it would look way different than your video! It would also be really shaky, though. These roads are ROUGH compared to yours lol!

Actually, I filmed the video in Time Lapse. Takes the shake out. Bought my wife a back up pistol, Glock 27, and myself the gopro for Christmas. Love 'em both!

Guns make the best gifts, lol! I tried my best to buy a couple different 45/70 govt rifles just before Christmas, but neither of the sellers would follow through. Been wanting one for a while now and they keep getting more expensive. I'm looking at the Marlin guide guns. It's the short barreled, straight stock lever gun. I ended up trading off one of my guns, though. I don't usually get rid of them, but I had 2 different 9mm S&W pistols. One was a compact m&p, the other was the m&p shield. I prefer the shield, for it's slightly smaller size, so I traded the other one for a 351W block, crank, and cam. The block was bored .030 over and crank freshly ground. New bearings, etc. I plan on building it to go in my '82 Mustang gt. Not a bad deal, considering that machine work would have cost more than I had in the gun!

I'm working on a concealed carry gun right now. The Glock 27 is small, but no where near as small as the Glock 42. The 27 fit her needs. Mags are interchangeable with the Glock 22 that she carries on duty, so that was key. The 42, while only a .380, is still a Glock and very reliable after a few minor tweaks. There are a couple of lesser prices "Micro" pistols out there and a few with exuberant price tags. I get a LEO Discount as an EMT in Louisiana, so I get to take about $150 off the price tag. About $350 out the door. I'm getting back into my photography as well, so I'm playing a balancing act with the pay check. Lol

Service is getting choppy in some areas around here since the weather turned cooler. It sucks! Lol. We were suppose to hit Alexandria today, but my wife has to work the Independence Bowl today. My parents are coming up from Alexandria instead. We're going to go see American Sniper tonight and grab dinner.

I still want to hit Pipes U Pull It down there and do some gold mining. Lol!
