jet performance chip
Never seen a set of Pacesetters seal properly without much modification or finagling. Jet, on OBD-1, is about as helpful as one of these.

I have a 1992 F150 with an I-6 300 under the hood, I have an MSD StreetFire coil and 8.8mm Accel plug wires and a PowerAid throttle body spacer. I'm looking at a Pace Setter headers and a Jet power chip, but can only afford one, which will give me more bang for my buck??? Headers or jet chip???
Please help!

This is what 11.39$ buys you.

Like I said above.... It's a resistor!!!!! It just makes the computer think the air is cold all the time. Waste of money! It is not a chip! OBD 1 vehicles are not smart enough to be "chipped"

Whenever I hear people wanting to chip their old vehicles, I tell them to think about their home computers from the same era. Remember how advanced those things were? Would you want to spend money and upgrade this?

Yeah thats what I thought. It would be the same thing for vehicle chips.

Finally, I can drag this argument back up. Off topic from the chip, but tell us about this throttle body spacer. Real experience............how long have you had it installed? MPG increase? Whatever your thoughts are. We had a long discussion about the TBS a while back. For the TBS to be worth while to me, I'd need to see a 1mpg gain with normal to light throttle. One mpg at $100 would pay for itself in 3 fill ups (Both tanks). Not too bad of an expense. My personal conversation with a rep for Airaid was short lived and I never heard back from him. The sudden end to the conversation more or less ended my testing thoughts. I was looking to do some testing and post my results for this site. Please give us some detail. Actually, it's not really an argument, more of, "Is it possible to see any real gains from the TBS?". For me, it's all about that extra 1mpg for $100.
What could a throttle body spacer possibly do for you? The reason a spacer works on a carb engine is because it gives the air/fuel more time to mix. On a fuel injected engine the air / fuel mix in the cylinder (typically) so adding space between the TB and intake manifold is just...... Well... More space?
The only spacer that works on these trucks is the intake spacer that goes between the lower and upper (5.0/5.8) engines but all it does is help you reach peak torque about 500rpm earlier you really don't notice it being there. Yes I have one installed on mine did it so I wouldn't have to pull the intake when I do valve cover gasket replacements.
I ask the question to Kdeal94 because I've not run into anyone else who has run a TBS. That's why I ask from the 1st person who might have some experience with it. Let him answer. He may not have done this mod by itself and may not be able to truthfully answer the question, but I still want to know. I know all the nay sayer answers. We've been through this thoroughly on another post, so not to be an ***, but I want to hear it from someone who has it installed. Not from everyone else who says that it's not possible that it works and has never tried it.
