Default Intake help

Don't think so. EGR tube should be from the upper intake to the exhaust manifold.

As I Just took mine off my 302 when I was pulling it out, I had this same issue. What I found to be the cuplrit was a Torque Head Bolt that is on the pain in the *** to get to side of the Intake, right in the middle. Ended up just Pulling up and turning the torque head bolt out with the manifold til we could get a grip with our fingers to take it out.

Also, A Pic would be nice!

I would remove it just to get it out of the way. It's hard to tell from the pics to many things blocking the veiw.

I just got through putting mine back on ('89 with the 302). Looks like you've got to remove a lot of other stuff before you'll pull the manifold off. I pulled the wiring harnesses off the valve covers and unplugged all the injectors, then got all that vacuum and electrical mess out of the way, then it came off (with a little more force than I was expecting but nothing excessive). You've still got to unplug the fuel lines from the rails before you'll get the whole manifold out too. I can't remember how many bolts there were, but some were covered in crud and I missed them the first time around.
