Default Inertia Switch Missing???

I need to do some work with my fuel system and according to Haynes Tech Manual, I need to use the inertia switch somewhere along the protocol to de-pressurize the system... one problem, my inertia switch isn't under the dash on the firewall where it's supposed to be, nor is there any sign of it ever being there. Any ideas where the little booger might have run off to? I haven't traced wiring or anything yet, just thought I'd run it by you guys first. It's a '93 straight 6 2wd auto. Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

I glanced but didn't spend much time hunting cause the manual was convinced it's behind the brake pedal on the firewall. Had experience with this?

Older trucks have it under the brake pedal, newer ones have it on the passenger side I think behind the kick panel.

Just pull the cap off the schrader valve on the fuel rail and push the pin in the middle. This will depressurize the system.
