Okay so a friend has a 87 f150 and the back passenger tire is locked up. Before I could help him get to the truck. Long story short we changed everything on the back brakes. Shoes, drums, wheel cylinder, ect. Everything down th the springs. So after we got done the passenger side tire is still locked up, almost like as soon as he hit he brakes they locked up. But it mooves freely in reverse.

Use the adjusting screw on the wheel cylinder. Same damn thing happened to me in the middle of winter. Rear seized up(rear passenger tire only) and I wouldn't be able to go more than 3ft forwards, but could drive anywhere backwards.

Reverse is geared lower than the others, so that's why you can still reverse

It's not gearing. The design of the parking brake system simply works better in the forward direction.

Just back the brakes off...the star adjuster on the shoes.
