Default Ignition wires

Am looking at replacing my ignition wires on my 5.8l. Is there a certain brand I should use or are wires, wires?

Stock ignition then stock wires. The Motorcraft wires from the nearest Ford dealer are worth the expense over local parts store offerings.

So more expensive name brand is not better for my stock motor?

The blue Motorcraft 8mm wires are more than adequate. The factory ignition system isn't bad and offers plenty of juice to light the fire.

Stay away from Taylor!! I had a set on mine and my brother in laws and had nothing but troubles! On a nice damp morning had miss fires from hell! You could touch a wire while touching something grounded a get buzzed or use a spray bottle and watch the light show. I even called Taylor and they never heard of Crossfire Induction. So that was money down the drain. I even ran them accordingly to fords TSB.

I bought a set of Ford 9's and work great! If you know how I'd say get the cut to length to make it all nice and clean looking.

My brother in law bought a set of BWD's from the parts store and has had no issues.
