Idle Problems
Next question can I use the EGR system off any engine in the 80's to '96. Like off of the 4.9l six banger or the 5.0. Or does it have to specifically be 5.8L. With the 02 sensors could i mount them directly into my headers or is there a specific location for them. The wires for the 02 aren't in my truck. Is there a place I can get those or do I have to rip them off a wrecked vehicle.
Man there are allot of things missing lol you sure its not chipped already?
And I think EGR is engine specific.
As for the O2 probably cheaper to get it from a junker
I believe there is only one O2 you will need a pinout of the EEC or even haynes book to find what pics they go to on the EEC.
If you want new pigtail I get my stuff from here

The EGR should be the same for any 5.8 '92-'95. Thw wiring harness is the same thing, 5.8 '92-'95 and you will probably have to get it from the junkyard. The oxygen sensor (one, singular) needs to be mounted just after the crossover pipe or if you have true dual then as close to the downpipe hookup as possible. You don't need one for each side and I don't think there is a way to put one on each side with true dual.
I dont have much on it but if you take it to a performance shop they clear the computer and reprogram it to what ever you like they use something on the computer im sure if you searched you could find one for your truck
to jet preformance products and the made me a chip for the high flow exohst and the rv cam to make it run right. also u could get the mas air censer the computer and wire harness off a 93-96 mustang with a 5.8 but its prety rare (most have 5.0) but that would fix the problem too
