all the spark plugs are on one side on a 300 6 cylinder.... 6 spark plugs = 6 cylinders

another thing is look at the intake, one will say 4.9l=inline 6 and the 302 will say 5.0 on the intake

"And that about wraps up this thread, smack down fans!" Tune in next thread when he asks, "How many liters of oil should he buy if he decide to change the oil in his 6 &/or 8 cylinder?" The bonus question will be," What is the best Grade, Type & Brand for his 6 &/or 8 cylinder?" (that might actually be entertaining!)

I guess I've never noticed my 302 having 5.0 on the intake. I guess I'll have to double check.

I know its off topic, but how can you tell the difference between the 302 and 351? appearance wise.

you cant unless you are good and catching inches with your eye....

the Intake (where it bolts to teh heads) is 2 inches wider on the 351 due to the taller deck height...

302 has a 9in wide intake and the 351 has an 11inch wide intake...other than that they are pretty much Identical....

still the 4.9l will say electronic fuel injection on the intake, 302 5.0 will say 5.0l , and 5.8l on the 351. but then not all of the intakes said that. i like my 4.9l, just calibrated the spedometer for my 31's and i do about 1700rpm doing 65mph.
