I got these for 20$ 1979 F150 rims. Invested about 100$ to get them sandblasted, primer and painted.

I have the same wheels as Sylver on my 94 Explorer in black and on my 88 F150 in chrome.
Personally I have always thought they look best on older vehicles.

The only thing I don't like about the ones on my 94 Explorer (the black ones) is that the paint needs touched up a lot. I just always paint it with some rattle can and it stays for a few hundred miles.

Clean them up and paint them with a flat black primer. Then have a body shop or rim repair place shoot them with a good hard clear coat. It'll be cheap and they'll last much much longer.

The clear coat would be glossy. Just like the clear coat used on the body of the truck. It might need a little wet sand and polish depending on how smooth the clear lays out when it's sprayed.
