Default i need help!!!!!

hey guys so i have an 89 ford f150 with a small block 302 in it and it is an automatic with 32s and i was wondering was my truck the only truck that struggles getting up hills??? if not what would be the cause of this??

We need a little more explanation of struggles. Does it just shift down and slow down but makes it up the hill without bucking? Or does it just barely make it up the hill? How steep of hills? Does the engine buck or anything?

Do you know your rear axle ratio? 2.73, 3.08, 3.55 etc?

Have you done a tune up lately? Changed the fuel filter? An what was posted above.

88 xlt mentioned gears - you've got 32" tires - if those are paired up with 3;08 gears, that's a big issue right there. Add in what olblue said about a tuneup etc. and you've got trouble climbing hills.
