Default I got a clunker...

But not the truck, just a part of it. It's a '91 300/E4OD. Here's the issue. When I shift from park to drive, reverse to drive, and sometimes drive to reverse or park to reverse, there's a clunk from somewhere. Sometimes it's a big one, sometimes it's small, but you can feel it in the floor, and hear it too everytime. What could this be??

U Joint or gears in the rear are toast. Probably the $10 U Joint. (or $20 if you do both, which you should)

Is it only when turning? Could be a ball joint.

This is a 2wd. The u-Joints are how the driveshaft hooks up to the rear end right? One on the shaft, one on the rear?

The only time the sound comes out is when shifting to drive/reverse, and then driving away. Never when turning. Only happens most of the time lol

If you hit the gas and let off you can make it bang around too. There's 3 u-joints on the 2 piece driveshaft and a center support bearing.

It doesn't do that!

But it's never constant, you feel the clunk as well as hear it, and then it's done, that's it.
