Default I did it!

After running for a year on just my 2.5 inch front spacer, I finally added some lift out back. I got tired of crunching my tips (used to be 3.5in circles... they are banged up ovals now) so up went the *** end. Here's the before and afters, comments welcome, good bad or indifferent

First, here was the truck up on some jacks to see what I thought of it bigger... before leveling it or anything. I liked it this height. I think it's there now

AFTER!

I used blocks in the back. Didn't feel a need to add leaves or anything, plus my buddy sold me the block kit and U bolts for 10 bucks because they wouldn't fit his K5 Blazer front axle

Thats a 2wd. Its got the same stance as my 87 short bed. My *** end sticks up and the front is pretty low and mine is 4wd. It does look really good though it looks good like that

Thanks guys

I can't exactly go any bigger now without spending mucho dollars haha but I'm really happy with how it sits now. The floors are right even with the bend in the back of my knee, which is where I've been trying to get it to sit the whole time I've had it. Time for 33's and 3.55s though... anyone got a 3.55LS rear end they're trying to get rid of?

She's looking good bro!
Did you do the spacers yourself? I am going to get some spacers to get rid of the rake on my 94 4x4 (or some of it) and will most likely be doing the job myself since I heard its expensive to have a shop do it.

So whats the difference between limited slip and regular? I've got the axle code 19 which shows 3.55 regular. I thought there was just limited slip and non limited slip.

Haha we're both looking for the same thing.

I'm also tempted to get a 250 rear end (bolt up!) just for 4.10s lol. Then run adapters in the front to 8 lug and be one of the only 8 lug 150s around

You have a non limited slip rear end. Regular and non-LSD are the same thing. Just like trac-lock, positrac, and whatever GM calls it are all limited slip differentials. The benefit is that when you start lighting up the tires, both will spin, so you don't get the one wheel wonder effect. An LSD rear end will grip the ground better because it can power both wheels at the same time, as opposed to a regular that can only power one at a time basically.

The front spacers I attempted myself... But this was before I had a cheater bar so I didn't get very far. All you have to do is undo the top shock bolt, the nut on the retainer clip on the top of the spring, and the nut inside the bottom of it, which is like a 1 1/8 size (it's big). Then just pry the axle down and the spring falls out. If you have a sway bar, disconnect that too. I wasn't afraid of doing it at all, I just couldn't muscle the bolts to move with no cheater bar! Install at a local shop here ran me $105
